Powell Robinson is an award-winning narrative and commercial Cinematographer based out of Los Angeles, represented by Zero Gravity Management.

While his clientele for music video and commercial work includes world-renowned talent such as Doja Cat, The Weeknd, Jack White, Twenty One Pilots, Falling in Reverse, Pedro Pascal, and Megan Fox – his main passion lives in feature filmmaking.

Over the last few years, Powell has been deeply involved in genre-centric feature work.  The most recent of which was filming a segment for the newest installment in the popular V/H/S franchise for Shudder, screening at Beyond Fest '25.  Leading up to that, Powell shot two striking horror films for Hulu and Worthenbrooks (previously 20th Digital). The first of which, Appendage, premiered at SXSW '23, and had its final festival screening at SITGES.  The second, Mr. Crocket, premiered at Fantastic Fest 2024 as the Grand Finale film, as well as SITGES and Screamfest ahead of its release on Hulu in October '24.

On the independent front, his upcoming horror film, The Red Mask (starring Helena Howard & Inanna Sarkis) just premiered at FrightFest '25.  Notable indie feature work in the past includes Threshold (Arrow Video) and the documentary feature Conversion (Gravitas Ventures) narrated by Zachary Quinto.  

Powell's passion for intense genre content extends into his short form work as well, having shot multiple short films for CryptTV, Hulu Bite Size Halloween, and independent shorts like 10 Shots premiering at Screamfest in Los Angeles, Marked at Beyondfest, and Accomplice at Dances with Films and Shriekfest.
